Shipping Procedure
Step 1 - Find Your Sampling Requirements
Refer to your permit for your specific sample requirements, such as:
- Do you require a grab or a composite sample?
- Sample Location

Step 2 - Collect and Store Your Samples
Collect the samples as required by your permit. Use clean, unused bottles or request sample bottles from us.
We require a minimum of 2 gallons of sample to run most tests and a minimum of 3 gallons for chronic fathead minnow tests.
Samples must be kept refrigerated or on ice.
Step 3 - Ship or Drop-Off Your Samples
Ship your samples overnight or drop them off. Sample holding times are typically 24 hours from the time of the completion of the sampling to the time the test is set-up in the lab.
Samples shipped overnight on Friday must be marked "Friday Delivery" in order for us to receive the sample within the holding time.
